Henrique Sloper Araújo

Henrique Sloper Araújo is the owner and president of Camocim Organic Farms. A surfer, snowboarder, motorcross extremist and avid adventure seeker, he is responsible for the development of the Camocim and Atalaia Farms Organic, Biodynamic Farming Project. Continuing with the tradition and adhering to the philosophies taught to him by his grandfather, Sr. Olivar Fontenelle de Araújo, the original owner of the farm, Henrique introduced the organic coffee culture to the farm in 1999 and yielded the first crop in 2004. Today, the Camocim Farm Project is a model for organic, biodynamic agricultural production throughout Brasil and has received numerous awards for the quality of its coffee and its innovative farming methods. Henrique continues to be a leader in the Brasilian coffee industry, both as a private supporter of other growers and a member of the Brasilian Specialty Coffee Association. Henrique and his family live in Rio de Janiero.

Many of the people responsible for the current success of the farm have worked with Henrique and his family for several years. During the last 100 years, Henrique and his family have been involved in numerous sustainable businesses throughout Brasil and have always been the pioneer or leader in their respective industries
